A spitfire, but in the best way possible… or at least that’s what my high school choir conductor once described me to be and I’ve carried that word proudly on my shoulders ever since. Before you go looking up the word in the dictionary to get the actual definition let me explain to you what he meant by this.

I was raised in a conservative town just outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Though the older generations from my community would argue that they were progressive in their ways of thinking, and some were, a majority were not. Growing up I was quick witted, sharp tongued, and unintimidated when voicing my opinion even when I was the only girl in a room full of boys. I’ll admit, at times this got me into trouble when I was younger. But, by the time I was in high school I had discovered how and when to utilize this spark to my advantage, and that is what my choir conductor admired about me.
I use my words for good to better and broaden the minds of those around me. If you don’t like it, then don’t subscribe.
